our largest client - Mr. Charlie Sheen. Who is now the highest paid television actor. The owners of our company are his managers and are Executive Producers on the show Two and a Half Men. Now I haven't seen many episodes, but the ones I have seen have made me laugh out loud. This is a brilliantly written show that is just spewing with charisma! I was able to attend a taping of the show on the Warner Bros. lot, where it regularly shoots. It was so much fun being behind the scenes to watch the director and the rest of the crew hard at work. They shot that episode flawlessly and it was a joy to watch the characters come to life right in front of my eyes. After the show was done taping I was able to meet Charlie and hang out on the set. Check out some of the pictures below!

#39 Lottery Ticket

Last Thursday I was invited to the LOTTERY TICKET premiere at the Chinese Theater! My company co-produced this movie and we're hoping for a hit! This movie was a lot of fun and full of laughs! It has a huge cast of name actors, which makes it surprising to see who pops up where! Our client Abdul Williams penned the script and our client Erik White directed it. You could tell they were a great team by the chemistry on the screen. GO SEE IT!!!

After the premiere we went to the after-party at Drai's on the rooftop of the W Hotel. They could not have picked a more VIP location! Drai's is such a hot spot with the stunning view of LA and rooftop pool and bar. It was catered with gourmet food - I personally devoured the filet mignon! Open bar made for a more interesting evening. It was great being a part of the company that made this movie possible. I was able to hang with some of the stars of the movie: Bow Wow, Brandon T. They are looking for a new commercial with the tag line, "We love Hollywood, we just have a funny way of showing it!" So Little Spoon created 2 spots with completely different concepts. The first concept is called "A Romance" and it shows the dysfunctional relationship TMZ has with Hollywood. TMZ is always there to witness celebrity breakdowns and they are always the first to show the newest stories/developments in celebrity life. This commercial sheds some light on this relationship. Watch it here...

TMZ: A Romance

The second concept is called "Doggy Style" and this is a quick, funny skit we did to make fun of all the celebrities with purse dogs. It's so easy to bring these dogs everywhere when they fit in your purse! This is a red carpet scene that shows the stubbornness of these dogs when they have to walk on their own! Check it out below!

TMZ: Doggy Style

We had a lot of fun shooting these commercials, and the contest has already been a success. My boss is close with Harvey Levin (the creator of TMZ) and he sent our commercials to him! Unfortunately, Harvey doesn't have a say in the contest. But it's cool to know he watched them anyways!

Wish us luck!

I also wanted to share some pictures from this past weekend! I was a part of my first Murder Mystery Party! My name was Carrie Crooner-Ravioli. I just married "Big Jim" Ravioli, who was the head of the Chicago mob. I was a young jazz singer who was trying to use Big Jim's connections to be a star! Big Jim was the first death and it was devastating! Then everyone assumed that I killed him because I had just married him and received most of his money through the will. But then I was killed by a competing jazz singer! The night was a lot of fun and everyone was all dressed up! Check out the pictures below!

Over the weekend, I also saw The Other Guys and SALT. Both movies were just OK. I thought that The Other Guys was going to be a lot funnier. I think both actors took different/challenging roles that they aren't use to playing - which was fun to watch. But some of the jokes were overplayed. It did not compare to Anchorman. I thought that Salt was good but predictable. I really enjoy seeing Angelina Jolie kick ass. However, it reminded me of the movie Taken, where it seemed unbelievable that one person can take down so many people. Based on my preference of movies, I enjoyed Salt more than The Other Guys.

#37 There's no place like home

Alright, time to play catch up! I have been working like crazy lately, and barely have time to watch my shows! By the way, I started watching Breaking Bad from the beginning and it is a great show! I really recommend it because I can't seem to stop watching. I love shows that keep you on your toes.

So a few weeks ago I went to an event at the Palihouse called The Darker Side of Green sponsored by Lexus. It's this new campaign that involves a comedian being a moderator of a green inspired debate. This event had Andy Samberg as the moderator. I got the pleasure of meeting him and he was such a nice guy! Other celebrities who showed up were Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, Sophia Bush, Jeremy Piven, and Adrian Brody. Open bar, hor d'oeuvres, and good music always makes for a good time.

For Fourth of July, Hilary and I went back to my home town to see my family! It was a much needed trip, because I miss my family so much. It is so hard being across the country from them. Whenever I go home they always spoil me with delicious meals. We went and played Whirlyball one night with a bunch of my closest friends. If you've never played whirlyball then you're missing out! It's whiffle ball meets bumper cars meets basketball! It's so fun! My mom, Hilary, and I went and walked along the Detroit River. Then during the weekend we had a huge barbeque for family and friends. It was nice because my family from Tennessee was up in MI for the occasion. It was an amazing trip that I will never forget! Each time I go home it gets more and more special. It's true when they say - there's no place like home.

If you haven't seen Inception yet, then get your butt to a theater ASAP! In my eyes, this is going to be the movie of the year! The film is mind-blowing and material that has never before been caught on camera. The idea is unique and absolutely fascinating. It still has people questioning how it was filmed and written. People in the industry cannot stop talking about this film and that is when you know you've made a ground-breaking film. The cast is phenomenal and every word keeps you on the edge of your seat. Everyone leaves the theater with their own take on the film and their own idea of what happened at the end. As the audience you feel like you're in the dream with them! I can go on and on about this story... but just go see it!

I am still loving my job at Evolution. I am learning so much and really beginning to understand how films/tv shows get made. You can't get anywhere without the help of an amazing manager. It feels so good to be a part of the process! Oh and just a side note... when I went to go pick up lunch the other day for my boss I talked to Puck and Santana from Glee! I told them how much I loved the show! They thanked me :)

Be looking for another blog real soon for Little Spoon's newest creations! Well not only is it done and gaining traction on Youtube, but today it was featured on none other than PEREZHILTON.COM!!! For those of you who are living under a rock and don't know who Perez Hilton is... he pretty much created the largest celebrity gossip blog on the planet. Check it out!...

Little Spoon on Perez!

You can watch it there or you can go to the direct link here on our Youtube page Bieber on Youtube. The point of this video was to spread light on all the lesbians out there who look like Justin Bieber. If you watch the original Justin Bieber "Baby" video then you will notice all of the work we put in to making it similar yet different! I could not be more excited that Perez Hilton featured us and thinks our video deserves recognition. I think that means we've officially MADE IT in the biz!

Speaking of the biz... I have more great news! I was recently promoted at my job! I am now the assistant to the two Heads of the Literary Department at Evolution Entertainment. It has been a roller coaster ride this past month! I had only 3 days of training before being thrown onto this desk, which left me even less time to train the person replacing me. It's crazy how it works out here. You could say that assistants run Hollywood. I am so excited to be a part of the assistant world! Look out Hollywood!

Things have been very exciting! I am now going to go finish watching the NBA Finals... GO LAKERS!

#34 What a NERD!

This weekend was full of fun shoots!

It started off with a photo shoot I did with Scott Regan. He bought this old school typewriter from craigslist and had this vision of how he wanted to photograph it. He asked me if I'd model for him. The theme of the shoot would best be described as "Writer's Block!" I dressed up as a nerd and had to show the hardship of being a writer. Lets just say that lots of pieces of paper were harmed during the making of this photo shoot! Scott is a brilliant photographer and you can check out his work here Scott Regan Photo. His partner in crime, Dave Huzieran from Blue Satellite Productions, was busy shooting the behind the scenes. The photos aren't ready to be shown yet, but you can check out the funny behind the scenes video here! Modeling is way more fun when you can play a character!

Scott Regan OTS: Promo Mailer #1 2010 from Scott Regan on Vimeo.

This weekend we also accomplished another Little Spoon creation! This one wasn't for a contest, but just an idea that we wanted to shoot. It's a music video parody of Justin Bieber's song "Baby." It came to us when we noticed that Justin Bieber could easily be Hilary's doppleganger. So the video is about Hilary who finally finds the girl of her dreams; however, the dream girl is only interested cause she thinks that Hilary is Justin Bieber. We rewrote the lyrics and rerecorded the song. The actual music video was shot in a bowling alley, so we put a different spin on it and just hosted a party with Wii bowling! We had a lot of help on this shoot - thanks to our amazing friends. Now all thats left to do is edit it all together! I'll be posting that as soon as it's finished, so stay tuned! Hopefully, it will be the next YouTube sensation!

#33 Comedy

So the great thing about having a girlfriend who works for a comedy talent agent is all the comped comedy shows! A few months ago we saw Jon LaJoie at the LA Impov. For those of you who don't know, Jon was found on YouTube because of his super popular, hysterical songs. You may recall "Everyday Normal Guy" or "I Kill People" among others. He is a great comedian and is now on the show "The League" on FX. Hilary and I went to go see his standup which included some never before seen videos and of course live performances of his YouTube hits. We got to hang out with him before the show and he's a super nice guy. Hilary was working at his management company Underground Films, but now has moved over to UTA where she now works for his agent. Jon will be collaborating on Babe Lincoln because Brandon is close with Jon since he also works at Underground Films.

This past weekend we went to the Improv in Brea, California to see the hilarious Ralphie May. You may know him from his Comedy Central Specials or because he is one of the largest comedians in town. Most of his jokes are racist but he makes sure that everyone gets a joke thrown their way. Ralphie is an amazing storyteller - he could make any story or experience funny! My favorite part of his standup was when he was making fun of the people who are against gay marriage. Talking about how some people say it will ruin the institution of marriage, yet there is a 60% divorce rate so even if the gay marriage has a 50% survival rate it will still better our overall average! He then went on to say that if people are still against gay marriage then be proactive about it and stop having sex, because gay people can't make gay people - straight people make gay people. He is so brilliant! I've never laughed so hard! He is a very big guy but he is all heart. When we were leaving we said goodbye to him and he was just so worried about us driving home safely. He is a great comedian and a human being. I definitely recommend everyone see his standup! Just seeing him once and he has already jumped to the top of my favorite comedian list.

#32 Wine, Movies, and Beats

Before I start, I must share Little Spoon Productions newest creation! Pantene put together a contest for their new product line. Little Spoon came up with a completely unique concept that we hope will get the Pantene judges laughing. Check them out here...

"Shampoo Heads"

60 second spot

30 second spot

You can connect using facebook to "like it" by clicking the heart on the video. We put a lot of hard work into making these videos. We had a lot of help from our friends who were thankfully willing to look silly out in public. We hope people enjoy watching them! Wish us luck and I'll keep you updated!

We still don't have the final word on FedEx. We unfortunately were not one of the top 3 videos selected, however they are considering buying more videos. We are still keeping our fingers crossed! We are super proud of our FedEx commercial, and either way we have something great to show potential clients. Speaking of clients! Little Spoon might have landed our first client. Nothing is official yet... but if all goes well I will have lots to tell you about in my next blog! Think positive thoughts for us! This could put Little Spoon Productions on the map!

I also wanted to mention a side project that I am helping my friend Brandon Dermer with. He has a huge passion for music and his newest musical venture is Babe Lincoln. You can best describe his beats as electronica dance mixes influenced by 80's pop culture. His debut album is called 8086 and is debuting this summer. You can get a taste at his website http://www.babelincolnbeats.com/ . He will be collaborating with other artists including our favorite YoutTube famous comedian, Jon Lajoie. You may wonder what's my part in all this - well I am none other then the babe of Babe Lincoln. I am featured as his cover art and will be helping him when he gets his show put together.

Alright enough business talk! On Easter weekend my friend Gary invited us up to his place in Santa Barbara. This was my first visit to this beautiful county. I've always wanted to go because if you know me - I'm a huge wine-o! So needless to say he had me at "wine tasting." In one day we went to 3 wine tastings. Two of them were on an actual vineyard, which was just stunning walk around in. Melville Vineyards was my favorite because we had our tasting out on this porch area - sipping wine in the brisk country air. Then we went into this cute little town and visited a wine tasting there called Carivintas Winery. This place was very special to me because they rescue animals as well. They actually put a picture of the animal and their story on the bottle of wine. I had to buy a bottle from here, being the huge animal lover that I am. The rest of the weekend can be related to Hot Tub Time Machine.

Speaking of Hot Tub Time Machine... haha I love how everything in this blog connects. This was a terrible, terrible movie. One 'terrible' just doesn't do it justice. I thought it had its moments - one being when they first realize they've gone back in time and they ask if Michael Jackson is black or white. I thought that was hysterical! However, maybe it's because I'm a girl, I just couldn't get over it's chauvinistic humor. So it doesn't surprise me when a guy tells me that they liked it.

The only good thing about this movie-going experience was that it was at a drive-in! Yes, Hilary and I actually found one about 40 minutes away in Montclair. It is only $7 for two movies! How crazy is that?!?! I didn't think cheap theaters existed anymore. So we saw a double feature of KICK ASS and Hot Tub Time Machine. They even replay the first movie again if you missed it. So it's actually a triple feature for $7! I really enjoyed the movie Kick Ass. I thought it was visually amazing and had a great story. You will instantly be in love with Chloe Moretz and her Hit Girl awesomeness! The theater was great but these were both Rated R movies and you wouldn't believe how many kids under the age of 13 I saw there. They have ratings for a reason. Some parents need to grow up and get a clue. Kids are already growing up too fast as it is.

Just a side note on my life - I have a new roommate now. Dee has moved out and my friend Matt has moved in. Yes, we are now 3 girls and 1 boy. We'll see how this dynamic works! I think it's going to be a lot of fun. I already really enjoy living with him. A year later, our apartment is finally starting to look like a grown-up apartment! We finally have a kitchen table, nice couches, rugs, and a fondue pot! It's all coming together. And the cool thing is that location scouts for movies, tv shows, commercials, and more can choose to use our apartment for their shoots. We had a location scout for Toyota come look at our apartment yesterday for a commercial they are shooting. Hope that pulls through for us!

So that is all for now! I'm going to leave you with a nice picture of me playing around with a Saw prop at work! This is the infamous Bear Claw! I was hoping they'd let me wear it all day at work so I can scare the people who come in for meetings. Unfortunately, it's extremely heavy and pure metal. Oh well I'll just stick to hitting people with a rusty nail baseball bat. Bye!

#31 Sundance/Evolution

Man this year has started off with a BANG!

Before I get started please check out the FORD FIESTA advertisement I am in! Sundance! I had the amazing opportunity to go to the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. I had never been to this festival before and couldn't believe that LitPost was going to take me along for the ride! As I mentioned before LitPost had worked on 2 films that were headed to Sundance: "Frozen" and "The Perfect Host." For those of you who don't know Sundance takes place in Park City, Utah. When we arrived there I felt like I just walked into my mom's snow village that she puts out every Christmas.

It is definitely one of the cutest town's I have ever seen. Out of all the films I saw that week, I am still proud to say that the 2 we worked on were the best - and I would have no problem admitting defeat. There was a lot of competition and I wish I could have seen them all! While I was there I also was given a free L'Oreal makeover and was interviewed by The Sundance Channel. A day after I put up this blog the GM of the Sundance Channel had read my blog and found the L'Oreal advertisement that I was in! Anita, one of the producers, contacted me to with the link. They shared it with me so I get to share it with you! Here it is!

Sundance Channel L'Oreal Beauty Ad

I went to plenty of films, but I soon found out that Sundance is one of the greatest spots for networking. I'm sure people go there just for the parties! The party atmosphere was nonstop and around the clock! Lucky for us we had no problem getting into some of the hottest spots! Each event was completely different which made it that more fun! I didn't have to pay for a drink the whole trip because it was all open bar. Some of the celebrities I saw at these parties: Orlando Bloom, America Ferrera, Adrian Brody, Gerard Butler, Kevin Connolly, Harvey Weinstein, and Elijah Wood.

After Sundance, Frozen was distributed by Anchor Bay Films to a limited number to theaters across the country. However, it did not do well enough to expand to more theaters. I was able to see it again on the big screen in LA. It was amazing to see my first on screen credit! That was one of the best feelings ever - which just verified my love for this business! Make sure you keep a look out for it when it comes out on DVD. It will definitely make you question your love for skiing! It is a really great film and I wish it would get the recognition it deserves!

When I came back from Sundance I was offered a job at Evolution Entertainment/Twisted Pictures. Evolution Entertainment is the management side of the company and Twisted Pictures is the production side! Twisted is best known for the SAW franchise! This company is vastly growing, which will allow me to learn and grow as well. I am filled with excitement about my new position, however I will miss the guys at LitPost. LitPost was a great first job to have out here in LA. I will forever be grateful for their kindness and guidance.

As for our production company, Little Spoon Productions just entered our first contest of the new year. FedEx is launching a new campaign called Think FedEx First and they reached out to the viewers to create videos with this theme. Our company created 2 campaigns for this idea.

"All the Small Things"

http://www.poptent.net/media/10981

"FedEx Guys"

http://www.poptent.net/media/12973

http://www.poptent.net/media/13025

You can easily connect to this website using facebook if you want to "Like" or comment on our content! We are thrilled with these spots that we have created and hope that FedEx likes them too! "All the Small Things" is #1 in popularity out of 153 entries! Wish us luck!

Hope you all had a happy and safe St. Patty's day! My first St. Patty's day in LA was filled with celebrity sitings! I ran into Chris Pine from StarTrek, Kevin Durand who plays Keamy on Lost, AND Mindy Kaling who plays Kelly Kapoor on "The Office!" All sorts of craziness on this green holiday!

Now that I'm all settled in my new job - I will be better at keeping up with my blog! Sorry to keep you waiting!

#30 Goodbye Fiesta and 2009

Last blog in 2009!!!

So the month has finally come where I have to say goodbye to my Fiesta. The Fiesta Movement has come to an end and they took CC away. It was a very sad start to my December, however we went out with a bang! They threw us an amazing celebration to thank all the agents for all of our hard work. They put us up at the London Hotel in West Hollywood - this was a 5 star hotel! My bathroom was bigger than my room and it was probably the best shower I've ever taken in my life. I wish I could have tried out the bathtub, but there was so little time. We had a whole itinerary of events! We were given dinner up on the rooftop catered by Chef Ramsey, which was mind-blowing to say the least! There they had an award ceremony where I won "Best Cameo Appearance" for my House Premiere video. They gave away 3 Fiestas, but unfortunately my luck fell short. Then they shuttled us to the Palladium for our CELEBRATION! It was so much fun! It was all being filmed by Current TV and Parachute performed at the end of the night. You can check out the segment from Current TV at the website below. I had a special one-on-one interview half way through that showed some of my adventures along the way.

Fiesta Movement Celebration!

The next day we were shuttled to the LA Auto Show so that we could be a part of the Fiesta revealing during the huge press conference. It was insane how many people and press showed up! The Fiesta's had their own huge section of the auto show. We were the lucky ones that tore off the sheets hiding the Fiestas. It was a great way to end this 6 month adventure. I wish it never had to end. The Fiesta Movement was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was blessed to have been given this opportunity.

DON'T you worry though! I will be purchasing one of the new 2011 Ford Fiestas when they come out in June. I'd love to hear your opinion on what color I should get! There are so many options! I'm leaning toward blue!

My Thanksgiving was very unconventional this year, because I spent it in VEGAS!!! My dad surprised my mom with a Vegas trip for her birthday. She wanted to travel somewhere she had never been and this was a great choice because I could easily drive to Vegas! We saw Cher in concert - which could have been better. She is a great performer, but I only know about 2 Cher songs. She's definitely in love with herself and she proves that in her show. We saw Cirque Du Soleil - Beatles Love! That was out of this world! They have over a million Cirque Du Soleil shows in Vegas now, but I would definitely recommend this one if you like the Beatles. You just know that their interpretation of each song is explosive. But my favorite part of this trip was taking a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon! We got to actually land in the Grand Canyon and have a picnic with a champagne toast. Unfortunately, we didn't have any gambling winnings, but the memories are priceless. I know that was cheesy, but so true!

Back at work there is ton of excitement because two of the films we have worked on are headed to Sundance!!! So keep a look out for the films Frozen and The Perfect Host. Hopefully they will make a splash at Sundance! We wish them the best of luck.

My friends and I are still entering video contests. Our production company is called Little Spoon Productions. We won 3rd place for our How to Spoon video which has over 60,000 views on Youtube and over 40,000 views on Howcast. We won $1,000 for our Big Gay Kiss video that we created to raise money for gay marriage rights. We just entered a Kellogg's contest that you can view here - Flip for Kellogg's and click on "Flip Out" by Meghan from Los Angeles. You can also check out the Riunite contest we entered by going to this website - Reinvent Riunite and go to the 4th page of entries and "TOUCHDOWN!" Hopefully we can rack up another win with these entries! Wish us luck! We update our Youtube page with each submission after the contest is over. www.youtube.com/littlespoonprod We'd love for your support so please view our entries and leave comments!

I'm currently home for the holidays. Man, it's good to be home. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year! Man, this past year ranks up there as one of the best! I wonder what 2010 will hold for me! Stay tuned...

#29 The Buzzz

Man, it has been a long time since I've blogged! I'm sorry about that - life took over, I guess. So what in the world have I been doing you may wonder! Let's see...

October was the last month I had to do a mission for the Fiesta Movement. This month was entertainment month and I was given the assignment "Star Gazing." I basically had to be a tourist for the day. I bought a star map and went around to a handful of celebrity houses. Unfortunately, the star map did exactly what I thought it was going to do... LIE! These things are such a scam - tourists BEWARE! Here's the link! Check it out!

Mission 6 - Star Gazing

I've been working a lot of random jobs in between my regular office job at Lit. I worked one day on The Bachelor. That was so neat actually being in the house where the girls stay. It is the most breathtaking house; I can't even imagine ever calling something like that home. I would seriously live in the attic like Arrested Development so that nothing in the house was ever touched! Needless to say it was a lot of fun.

I worked the Anaheim Auto Show taking lovely pictures. It's always a good time sitting in cars you can't afford and dreaming of that one day you might own one. It's fun to see the crazy designs they come up with for cars. The things we can do nowadays! But I want to know when flying cars are going to make an appearance! Bumblebee made an appearance at the show!

My friend Chelsea is the assistant for Selena Gomez, so she took me onto the set of Wizards of Waverly Place. There I got to watch the taping and help Chelsea collect donations for UNICEF, one of the

charities Selena is now a part of. She is the newest and youngest member of the United Nations Children's Fund. Selena and her family are very kind-hearted and a lot of fun to be around.

In the spirit of free gas Hilary and I ventured down to San Diego on a random weekend to visit with my friends Dawn and Bethanee. That was the first time I've been down that way. They took us to PB which I found out stands for Pacific Beach. It seriously reminded me of Spring Break 05 at Panama City Beach! It was just bar after bar on this long strip. It was so much fun! We danced it out as you can imagine! I can't wait to go back down there again!

Before I go I have to mention what I did this past weekend. Two words: SIX FLAGS!!! Hilary and I ventured out to Six Flags Magic Mountain for Fright Fest! This was my first time ever going to a Six Flags, so I was super excited! I love roller coasters, but I am a huge scaredy-cat! I usually get extremely nervous right before I get on it, but then I have a blast throughout the crazy ride! My favorite coasters were Batman, Riddler's Revenge, and Scream!

Halloween is this weekend, so everyone be safe and have fun! The Fiesta Movement has given me some crazy adventures, fitting since it is adventure month!

I was given the opportunity to interview the cast of HOUSE at the season 6 premiere event. The event was sponsored by Ford and presented at the Hollywood Arclight theater. The celebrities were walking a "blue" carpet and I was lucky enough to be a part of all the excitement. I was joined by another fiesta agent - Bridget O'Neill - to help come up with questions for the cast. Not only did we meet the entire cast, but we also met creators and producers on the show. We watched the 2 hour premiere and it was like a stand-
alone movie. New viewers would have no problem jumping into the show from this point. This premiere was not typical House style, but according to the cast we'll have lots of surprises to come! After the show we were lucky enough to attend the after party! It was a night to remember!
 Thank you Ford!

This was definitely was a dream come true. Check out the video!

House Red Carpet

I owe Ford another thank you for the largest thrill of my life. Yes, they sent me SKYDIVING!!! I had to prove to myself and everyone that I'm not the scaredy-cat everyone thinks I am! I figure once I took that leap there is no turning back. I went flying!!! It only took 5 hours to get out of there. It was a very exhausting day and the heat was not friendly. But I can now cross skydiving off of my bucket list. Fiesta!

I am now officially done with my 20th Century Fox internship. It is very sad and I miss it very much. Sucks having to work for money. Luckily I got to go out in style by working the All About Steve premiere. I have heard nothing good about this movie, but if nothing else Sandra and Bradley were there looking gorgeous as always. Hopefully, I will be able to return back to Fox someday.

Life is good.

#27 Otters

This month was social activism month for the Fiesta Movement. I chose The Otter Project to spend the day with and give a $500 donation check to. Hilary and I drove up to Monterey to meet with Allison from The Otter Project. We interviewed her and then she took us to see wild sea otters at Moss Landing. Allison was also able to get us passes to the Monterey Aquarium. It is supposedly one of the best aquariums in the country. It was very crowded, but had some great exhibits. After the aquarium I was interviewed by the local news. Please check out the video I created and learn about how you can help California sea otters!

Mission 4 - The Otter Project

I had my last day of my Fox internship last week. It was very sad and I will really miss my Fox family - Chrissy, Bill, and Andrea. I got to spend my last day at the All About Steve Premiere. I got to see Sandra Bullock, Bradley Cooper, George Lopez, and others. It was a great way to end my time at Fox. I really recommend the Fox internship program for anyone trying to break into the entertainment business.

Some recent movies I've seen are District 9, Inglorious Bastards, The Time Traveler's Wife, Avatar 15 minute sneak peek, The Proposal, Paper Heart, and The Hurt Locker.

I really enjoyed District 9! I've been calling it this generation's ET, but do not be fooled by that statement. It is not all happy and cute aliens running around. The aliens very creepy and the story line is very gruesome. The film did a great job mixing a documentary style with the live action story. It seemed very real, even with CG aliens. I was very impressed.

Now if you go see District 9 and you think that was gory - you won't last a second in Inglorious Bastards. It was a typical Quentin Tarantino film. I thought a lot of scenes could have been shortened dramatically, but Brad Pitt kept your eyes glued to the screen. Except for the times that you have to turn your head and cover your eyes in disgust. I think the only reasons I liked it as much as I did were 1. Brad Pitt and 2. they were killing Nazis.

The Time Travelers Wife was exactly what I thought it was going to be. They put the perfect amount from the book, so the audience wasn't completely confused. I was not the hugest fan of the book, but the film did a good job summing it up. I don't think Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana had good chemistry. Another movie that had issues with love chemistry was The Proposal. I thought it was a very cute movie, but it was not believable that Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock were falling in love. They both did a good job in their individual roles and I laughed more than I thought I would.

All I'm going to say about Avatar is that I hope it isn't a complete disappointment. The pictures I saw everyday at 20th Century Fox were absolutely stunning, so I hope it lives up to the hype - at least for James Cameron's sake.

As for Paper Heart it was a "wait for video." I love Charlyne's awkwardness, but it just wasn't enough to make it an interesting film. I thought all the excitement over The Hurt Locker was overrated. Maybe it's better on the big screen because I watched it at home. I thought the bomb aspect was nerve-racking, but there was absolutely no character development which just made it depressing. But I guess war is depressing. End of story.

#26 Howcast Video Challenge

I have entered the Howcast Video Contest and I need your help to win! My idea was to go shopping for outfits that matched my car (magenta with black polka dots) and then put on a fashion show! I persuaded a handful of my friends to be models and then had the amazing Alex Barroso shoot it! We went to the roof of my friend Sarah's parking structure in downtown LA and it has the most amazing view for the show. This is by far the best mission I have created, so please check it out and share what you think!!!

Mission 3: Fiesta Fashion

What also made it an amazing week was that my mom came in to town! She's never been to LA so I showed her around a little bit. We did all the touristy things. We went to the brand new wax museum called Madame Tussauds. That was a lot of fun, but sort of dragged on. I got to take her to the Fox lot to watch a screening of 500 Days of Summer. That movie was fabulous! I recommend everybody go see that movie. The creativity and the moral of the story was perfection. Now my mom is gone and I miss her. Thank God for skype!

I have entered a couple more contest for the fun of it. You can check out the Careerbuilder contest I entered HERE. This was one of my favorite ideas, but it works so much better with music. However, the rules stated that I could not have music. But please watch it and give me a good rating :)

I also entered a Howcast video challenge. The voting won't start until August 11th, so I'll keep you updated! My friends and I were joking about creating our own production company just for short video contests! Little Spoon Productions - it has a nice ring to it. We are keeping the creative juices flowing and hopefully we'll win some cool stuff along the way!

That's it for now. I'll leave you with one of the best pictures from the fashion show!

#24 EMPLOYED!

Hello, hello! I just thought I'd mention that this is blog #24, and for all of you who know me, that is my favorite number! Which means this blog has to be a good one! Luckily, I have good news to report... I HAVE A JOB!!! Yes, a paying job. Mind blowing I know! I just started at a post production company called Lit Post. We just declared my title as Executive Assistant. How legit is that?! I am very excited about joining the Lit team because they are starting to bring in some big projects. This is a company that I can grow with and learn from. I hope it brings about some great opportunities!

So yesterday I attended the PGA screening of Bruno. I thought it was a pretty funny movie. I think the best part of his movies is when he finds real people to make absolute fools out of themselves. I love when his character makes people uncomfortable. It is definitely a crack up. They whole time they make these movies they must be thinking "how can we stretch the limits." I can't believe he survives to live another day after his stunts. Sasha can stay in character like no other actor. He is like 4 totally different people! It brings a whole new meaning to multi-personality disorder. But I do not recommend this movie if you are afraid of naked men.

OH! The most exciting thing happened a couple days ago... ENTOURAGE WAS FILMING IN MY APARTMENT BUILDING!!! My complex is only 2 stories and I guess the location scout was looking for a building with an oldstyle courtyard. My building has a pool right in the middle of the complex. As the location scout noticed, my place is great for a party! So they chose the apartment right below mine to shoot in. They needed a bedroom that faced the courtyard so they could film in the bedroom but still see the party going on in the background. It would have been our apartment if they needed it on the second floor! Dang! It is actually going to be one of Turtle's scenes and they are in a girl's bedroom. It was so awesome to see the Entourage magic happen right out my window!

A couple weeks ago, when Tranformers came out, my friend Alex won tickets for the Linkin Park concert after the premiere. So he was nice enough to take me and I got to see a live performance from the band right after the highly anticipated premiere. They played the song they wrote specifically for Transformers called "What I've Done." Linkin Park is amazing in concert and I will continue to see them over and over. My friend Alex is an incredible photographer and he was also kind enough to help my friend Jessica and I with a photoshoot. Jessica was in town from Michigan and she is an extraordinary fashion designer. She brought two outfits and gorgeous jewelry that she created for this fashion shoot. The pictures are turning out gorgeous and Alex had a great eye to capture the light on the outfits.

I can't end this blog entry without talking about my Vegas trip! My chicago girls planned a trip to Vegas and they were not going to take 'no' for an answer from me. So Hilary and I headed to Vegas for a crazy weekend. We stayed in the Sahara the first night, which wasn't the best of hotels but it served its purpose. Hilary and I saw the Pirate show outside Treasure Island which I recommend. Then we were VIP status at the club - like we would be anything but! We got asked if we wanted to dance up on stage (I won't mention the stripper pole, oops). Then we went to Outback at midnight and, yes I ordered the steak! So good! We met up with Brittney, Ashley, and Shannon at the Palms. We were walking double fisted down the strip - mind you it was over 100 degrees there all weekend! We needed some air conditioning so we ventured in to MGM and Ashley won 60 buckaroos on the slots! First timers always have beginner's luck! Then we went out that night and soaked in the pool the next morning. All in all a great trip and I miss my chi-town girls already.

This week I am focused on figuring out my next Fiesta Mission for Fashion month. My mission is to buy clothes that match my car and put on a fashion show! So I am going shopping this weekend and trying to find the perfect place to stage this show! Let me know if you have any ideas! I'm going to need a lot of help to pull this off! It's going to be quite the show! I can't wait!

#23 MISSION 2

Alright guys so the Fiesta journey continues with this month being technology month. I just posted my Fiesta Movement: Mission 2 which was to go 24 hours without technology. CRAZYYY! It's funny how dependent we all have become to our phones and computers. It killed me not being able to check for emails or text messages! This video is pretty fun and contains air guitar :) Just a forewarning!

Please watch it and if you could leave a comment and rating on Youtube that would be very helpful to boost my points. Thank you!

Agent 100: Mission 2

I know that a lot of Ford employed people read my blog and want to know more about what I think about the car. I would be happy to share my thoughts with you right now!

The car is super tiny and compact which makes it very easy to fit into tight parking spaces (especially living in LA where everything is parallel parking). It is 40 miles to the gallon - insert gasp - everyone I tell that to always has a jaw drop or eye pop. This is very awesome because I literally only have to stop and get gas once a month if I don't take a long trip somewhere. I think this is amazing with gas prices the way they are. The automotive industry needs to start taking these steps to help the economy and spare our precious natural resources.

The stereo system in the Fiesta is fantastic! I get to plug in my Ipod directly with only one cord. This way I get to use my Ipod and still have the cigarette lighter outlet to plug in my phone charger or GPS. This is a feature I'm fond of. I am also very grateful that the car has blue tooth connection through the car. It is illegal to drive while on the phone in LA so blue tooth capability is very important.

Another very cool feature is the rearview mirror... I know this might be confusing cause what could be cool about the rearview mirror? Don't you hate it when you're driving at night and the person behind you has really bright headlights so it blinds you when you look in the rearview mirror? Well the Fiesta's rearview mirror gets a special tint at night that drastically reduces the blinding light from other headlights - it creates a greenish tint. It's a great, great feature that could prevent a lot of accidents.

The car also has automated window wipers that was convenient so you don't have to keep turning the speed up and down. This was helpful while driving through rainy Seattle that chose to rain and stop every other minute! Another cool feature is that the gas tank is cap-less. There is a tiny little flap in the gas tank opening that lets the nozzle enter, but let no gas escape. As I was writing about this car feature I asked my roommates what they thought the technical names were for the opening of the gas tank... and somehow we got to talking about male parts entering the female parts - I don't even know! I thought it was funny and, as inappropriate as that is for this blog, I thought I'd share!

There isn't much about the car that I do not like, but I can list just a couple changes I would make. I wish it wasn't turn knobs that adjusted the driver's and passenger seats. They are hard to easily turn while driving. I also think that the car needs arm rests and the handles that people can grab when they need to hold on - aka "Oh shit handles." I think that those would be some good additions to the car. If I think of anything else I will let you know! But that's it for now!

#22 Pride

This past weekend was the Gay Pride Parade! My LA family and I had a sleepover the night before and then woke up early for donuts and mimosas! It was the perfect way to stay the day! We jumped in two cabs and headed down to West Hollywood to let the celebration begin. The parade was a lot of fun! The bright colors, the eccentric costumes, the flying beads all made it so much fun to be a part of! At the end of the parade we had 2 bags full of free goodies given out during the parade! We now have a jar full of condoms - hey they just want you to be safe! Chelsea Handler was the Grand Marshall of LA Pride 2009! She was on a float accompanied by her little Chuey and Ross the intern! After the parade Hilary, Brett, and I went to the Pride Festival. It was just a lot more booths, dancing, and naked men. It was an amazing weekend! It did make me extremely sad to see the protesters yelling on the edge of the street. It is unbelievable to me that people still think this is a choice. White, black, gay, straight were all human. We are all God's creations and he loves all of us just the way we are. The ignorance of some people just blows my mind. Anyways... I also watched the first season of True Blood which is a really good show. It's definitely got me hooked. It almost makes me think that Twilight was a copycat. I guess you'd have to watch the show to understand. I still love Twilight - don't get me wrong - but True Blood does the vampire thing so much better. Sorry Edward.

Two weekends ago I worked a Columbia - Semester in LA booth during the Produced By Conference. It was a conference put on by the Producers Guild of America for people who are producers or aspiring to be one. The Columbia booth was set up to tell people about the Semester in LA program and get people to sign up to be speakers. We were also looking for people who needed interns so that the students will have an easier time getting internships right after the program is done. There were a lot of booths set up, but the main purpose people go is for the seminars. There are seminars going on throughout the conference on different stages and theaters all over the Sony lot. I was able to attend a couple. My favorite was one with the creator of Desperate Housewives! He talked about how he got the idea for the story line and his struggles trying to get it picked up. Over ten networks passed on Desperate Housewives when he first tried pitching the script. What a big mistake! The other great seminar I went to had Clint Eastwood as the speaker! He answered questions from the audience and was actually a really funny guy - I was surprised! But he could pretty much answer every question with "Because I'm Clint Eastwood, bitch." I mean lets be real.

I have an interview coming up next week at a postproduction house who is looking for a receptionist. Wish me luck - I really need to get a paying job! It was at the gorgeous Chinese Theater and it was a star-studded event! They sat us first in the theater but of course I had to go walk around and scope out the scene. The first excitement was the free popcorn and pop! Then as more people started coming in I saw Audrina from The Hills first. Then I went to the back of the theater and saw the whole cast of The Office! That was so cool because you wonder if they are actually like their characters on the show. Too funny! Then I was looking into the seats and made eye contact with ZAC EFRON! Wow, my heart just melted! Then as I was walking back to my seat because the show was about to start I was standing right next to Jeremy Piven! So the show started and I didn't really have high hopes for it because we got to read the first draft of the script in my class. However, they completely changed all of the things I thought were problems in the first script and made comic gold! The movie was great! It is sort of like Wedding Crashers, but more raunchy. The characters played so off of each other and you couldn't stop laughing. Bradley Cooper made his mark in this movie. We were one of the last people to leave the theater because we were so close to the screen, but this was actually a good thing. As we were walking out I was standing right next to MARY KATE AND ASHLEY OLSEN!!!!! I could have died right there. They are my idols. They are living treasures to me having grown up on all their movies, songs, and TV shows. My heart was pounding out of my chest. Then we continued to walk out with Bradley Cooper! Who by the way looks better then he has ever looked! GORGEOUS! It was the night of my life!

UP
I got to go to a screening of the new Pixar movie UP. I just pretended to be an intern at the PGA, where my roommates work, and I got right in! I passed out the 3D glasses for the audience to wear. I LOVED THIS MOVIE! I think it ranks up there as one of the best Pixar movies for me. #1: Finding Nemo, #2: Toy Story, #3: UP! It was absolutely adorable and comic genius. I would recommend this movie to all ages! Why is it that Pixar is so good at making you laugh and cry!? Disney is just timeless brilliance.

BUDS

I worked on a TV pilot for a new show about a group of friends. The title isn't for sure yet, but they are considering calling it Buds. There were a lot of cool actors in it like the guy who played Rufio in Hooke, Dante Basco, the guy from 10 Things I Hate about you, David Krumholtz, and a girl whose been in plenty, BROOKE BURNS! The show is a comedy and I think it would be something for Comedy Central. We'll see if it gets picked up!

LMFAO!
I went to the kickoff party for 97.1 AMP radio and they had LMFAO perform! I was really surprised how fun it actually was. I only know their one song "I'm in Miami..." or in LA it's "I'm in LA..." and I'm sure every city in the US! LMFAO is actually an uncle and nephew which I think is awesome. The party was a really good time and we got some sweet glasses!

#20 MISSION 1

Check out my first Fiesta Movement mission as Agent 100! Tim and I set out driving on a wednesday night and we got there early friday morning. We took the north route through the gorgeous Colorado Rocky Mountains! "CC" is quite the tank! She went right up those mountains like nothing! I've only had her for a couple weeks and she's already seen most of the country! We went through a lot of states in a very short period of time. I wish we would have had the chance to stop and enjoy some of the scenery, but we were on a tight deadline!

It was amazing to be back in Chicago, even though I was welcomed with rain - typical! I got to see all my chi-town friends who I've missed so much. We went to our favorite spot - Duffy's - which coincidentally is a Michigan bar. Michigan is just the best, no denying that. Then on saturday I got to see my beautiful family. Then my Grandma and Auntie Val showed up to surprise me! It was such a special reunion that I wish could have lasted longer.

Man four years of college just flew by! I just couldn't even comprehend the feeling as I was sitting there in my robe and tasseled hat. It has always been one of my largest goals to be a college graduate. So looks like I can check that one off the list! First person in my family to graduate college. Class of 2009! Now I'm officially in the real world. Who knows what life has in store for me... but I'm excited to find out!

#18 Warner Bros.

So my new internship at De Line Pictures is on the Warner Bros lot. That makes things extremely interesting and exciting because there is always stuff going on in a huge lot. So yesterday I was driving through the lot to get to my parking space when I realized it was all blocked off. So the security guard asks me if I am with Entourage? Of course I said no, but on the inside I was freaking out! So I had to park in a different spot all the way across the lot. But as I was walking back through where they were going to be shooting Entourage... TURTLE almost hit me in his huge white escalade! I wouldn't even have cared! I swear that show must be the exact replica of their actual lives. If I could be in any show I think that would be near the top!

Later on in the day at my internship I got very close to being in the same room as Cameron Diaz! I guess they were screening a film to see if they wanted to use that same director in an upcoming movie she's going to be in. I was hoping I'd bump into her, but just being in the room next to her is enough for now.

So I'm going to be MIA for a few days because I am driving Cecee (aka: my fiesta) all the way to Chicago for graduation!!! Tim will be accompanying me again on this road trip and yes I do believe we will be mighty sick of each other after this. Hopefully, the trip will be smooth sailing so I'll get into Chicago on friday. Then its lots of spending time with my Chi friends and then on saturday I will get to see my FAMILY!!! Then sunday is graduation! Wow, time flies! Then sunday will be topped off with a friendly bbq hosted by my girls brittney and shannon! This is going to be one wild weekend! But I will look forward to coming back to LA and beginning my life here. This is one last hurdle in the way and then its life in the real world.

PS. I have to give a shout out to SOUTHGATE ANDERSON HIGH SCHOOL who has been showing me so much support throughout my adventures in the Fiesta Movement! They have given me so much love with their comments and have filled me with so much encouragement. Thank you guys! I really appreciate your kindness :)

#17 Wolverine

My first day working at 20th Century Fox I got to work the X-Men Origins: Wolverine Premiere! We ventured from the Fox lot to the Chinese Theatre where the premiere was being held. Usually whenever I work something this cool I'm one of the people doing the grunt work. My boss laughed at me when I asked her if I should bring a change of clothes. When we arrived we received "All Access" passes and were just hanging out on the red carpet until it was almost time to start. People were lining up along the opposite side of the street trying to see from the distance. When it got close to start time we numbered all the photographers and placed them along the red carpet area. Then we just hung out and were there incase there was any problems. During the entire red carpet entrance I was just chilling on the red carpet. I stood right next to Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, The Black Eyed Peas, Amanda Peet, Mel Gibson, and more! Needless to say it was the best first day ever!!!

PS. I recommend not going to get the free KFC that Oprah offered tothe world. I went there and there was a long line. Then when I got up to the counter they said that they were not accepting the coupons anymore. First 150 for lunch and dinner. I think I was 159. People were coming in by the truckloads and getting extremely mad that they weren't honoring them. The manager got called to the front millions of times. There were 2 people working the KFC I went do and they were not happy campers. I'm thinking they hated their lives and wished the death of Oprah. Also they won't give you the free chicken if there are paying customers they have to take care of. There was 2 people that were sitting there for close to an hour waiting for free chicken! Man, all I have to say is people don't mess around about free chicken.

#16 A Fiesta Road Trip

Alright, I know you guys have been patient and you are all dying to see what my babygirl looks like... wait no longer!!! Yes, that's me and that's my car. I've totally been rockin the stick shift by the way! So as you know I went to Seattle to pick her up and then was given my first mission "GO HOME ALREADY" which involved me taping my journey back down to LA. The trip was quite beautiful. We stopped at a couple places along the way including the beach and a national redwood forest. I had never seen a redwood tree before and wow are they big! Check it out!

How crazy are those trees! Stepping into that forest instantly overwhelmed us and filled us with this enchantment feeling. It will make you want to "GO GREEN" to save these beautiful green giants. We also stopped at a beach in Crescent City, California that made me feel like I was in the movie Castaway. It was gorgeous!

So now I am back in LA. I want to give you some sites to check out to keep updated with the Fiesta Movement and me as well! I have a Twitter now so you can add me at My Twitter.

I also have a Flickr now where you can see all my pictures along my journeys My Flickr.

And most importantly you have to check out my agent page where all the fiesta lovin' goes on and it's here that you can go to help me boost my popularity and points. The more views, comments, and ratings I get on my page, blog, and videos - the more points I get! So help a girl out!!! I'll let you know when I'm done editing my first mission! But check out my page!

My Agent Page

Thank you all for your support and let me know if you need a ride!!!

#15 Fiesta Agent 100!

So last week I found out that I was one of the 100 people chosen for the Ford Fiesta contest. There was over 4,000 entries! They shipped me off to Seattle this weekend for the training and initiation. They are calling the 100 winners "Fiesta Agents" and we report to Mission Control every month for a new mission that we must complete by making an awesome video for the public. I am agent 100 baby! Please check out my profile on the fiesta movement site!

http://www.fiestamovement.com/agents/view/100

This is a huge promotional adventure that Ford has created to get the Ford Fiesta out into the limelight before it actually comes out in 2011. I get to have this brand new car for 6 months with free gas and insurance. I also get to go on crazy adventures every month with my Fiesta! My car is magenta - so naturally she's my little girl. She is the cutest thing you'd ever want to see. I think I have finally decided on the name Cecee. After Bette Midler's character "CC Bloom" in Beaches. I don't know why - I just think it fits.

I'm currently on a road trip back to LA from Seattle with my friend Tim. I am sitting in a Shiloh hotel room in Grants Pass, Oregon. We are going to complete our "travel mission" on the way back down. It's going to be exciting and I'll fill you in along the way! Stay tuned for pictures!

PS. I now have a second internship at De Line Pictures!

Internships - check

Apartment - check

Car - check

Job - ______

As you can see my next step is getting a paying job! Now that I have an amazing car I should hopefully be able to find one more easily. Now I have to hit the hay because I've been driving over 9 hours straight! Another big day tomorrow!

#14 Adventurous Week!

So here are the updates so far:

1. THIS GIRL!!! Pretty excited about it! I finally feel like I'm taking a step forward - it's been a standstill for a week or so. I will start my internship on May 6th. It will be a part time summer internship. Hopefully there will be a lot of premieres this summer because I'll be working them!

But this past weekend I worked on the set of a music video shoot. His name is Billy Dortch and the video was for his new single "Breathe" (available on Itunes!). He is a new artist who literally decided to become a recording artist only 6 months ago. He was such a doll - the nicest guy you'd ever meet. The concept of the video is about a guy who just can't catch a break during these present day hardships. They use water to symbolize the feeling of drowning. It will be a great music video and the song will be an instant hit. Billy will be touring England and many other places next week to get his name and music out there. Keep an eye/ear out for it!

#12 Moving In...

So I this past week I moved into a new place. This is why I haven't blogged recently, because we have no internet. No internet = personal hell. I'm currently at a local cafe called "The Bourgeois Pig." But back to telling you about my new place... it's actually just a temporary living situation because the apartment were suppose to move into by May is still under construction. Everything in our new apartment is going to be brand spanking new. We're going to call it "The Penthouse" because it's on the upper level and it has massive windows to enjoy the view. If you walk out of the complex you have a perfect siting of the Hollywood sign, which excites me. There is a pool right in the middle of the complex that Leah and I have already tested out. It is FREEZING - but so worth it! So as you can see, we are very excited about the new place. Moving was a bitch, but luckily he didn't have any furniture so it wasn't that hard.

The good news is that everyone in LA loves to throw out their old furniture and goodies. Everything in our place will more than likely be found on th

e street. It sounds gross, but a Beverly Hills garbage day is a gold mine! We have already found an entertainment center and on one of our walks we found a perfectly good TV. Hopefully it will fit in our entertainment center!

I had an interview with 20th Century Fox last wednesday for their Photo Still/Publicity department. It would be an internship position, but I need to get my foot in the door somehow. I felt that it went really well so keep your fingers crossed for me! I will hopefully find out this coming week! That's it for now!

#11 Easter

So all week we've been looking at apartments, houses, dumpsters, and anywhere else we can seek shelter in. We have to be moved out of this apartment by this week and we still can't find a place to live. It seems that LA is a lot more strict in leasing their apartments and are not student friendly. We can't find a job without living here and we can't live here unless we have a job. Definitely a catch 22 and it is not fun. We found another really nice place that we are trying to stay in and we should know by tomorrow if we can sign the lease. If we don't sign a lease by wednesday we might be living on the streets.

Friday I went and tried out for a new game show called 20Q, which is based on the 20Q ball that can always guess what you are thinking by asking you 20 questions. I made it to round 2 and got to play a mock game of what the show will be like. I don't know if I did good enough to make it on the show, but I was 1 of 2 girls that made it to the second round. Keep a look out for the show on Game Show Network!

Saturday we had a classic "Girls Night In" where we sipped on Arbor Mist and watched chick flicks: The Devil Wears Prada, The House Bunny, and Bring It On. It was perfection.

Sunday was my first Easter away from home. I was very sad in the beginning of the day because I missed my family and wished I was celebrating it with them. Easter has always been my favorite holiday. However, my LA family decided we would have our own dinner party. We had an Easter feast: ham, cheesy potatoes, deviled eggs, corn, biscuits, salad, and dessert. I made my best friend Katie's signature Dump Cake which is pretty much a pineapple upside-down cake, but it is AMAZING! Even if you don't like pineapple or cherries, you would love this cake! It got amazing reviews on Sunday as well. My friend Dan went out of his way to put on an Easter egg hunt for us. All the eggs were filled with lottery scratch off tickets! It was so sweet of him. Then we finished the day by going on a canyon walk and enjoying the amazing view of LA. I'm so grateful for my friends out here. It was another Happy Easter!

#10 The Price Is Right

I am officially done with school! How crazy is that?! The program ended this past friday and it was bittersweet. We got to pitch our TV and Feature ideas to 2 executives from 2 different companies. William Lowery is part of the SAW franchise and lots of other horror films like the most recent - Last House on the Left. He really liked my TV idea. He listened to a lot of pitches and he distinctly remembered mine at the end of the day. Then I had to pitch my feature idea to Andy Cohen from Grade A Entertainment and he worked on Untraceable and It Takes Two (yeah Olsen Twins!). He thinks I need to write up a script for my feature because it could be just what Hollywood needs. So all in all it was an exciting way to end the college career.

So what is the first thing I do entering the real world... THE PRICE IS RIGHT baby!!!

We got up bright and early to get an early arrival ticket for the show. I recommend literally getting there at 6 am if you want a for sure spot. We showed up at 9 and we were one of the last groups that made it into the audience. Our show wasn't until 4, but they wanted us back on the lot at 12:30. It was a lot of just waiting around. They finally put us in line according to arrival time and then it was more waiting. Everyone gets a chance to interview to be an actually contestant. One of the largest pieces of advice I can give to someone who wants to be on the show is to make a reservation for a group of 15 or more people. If you've seen the show you know that they only pick a total of 6 people to be contestants - they almost always pick one person out of the larger groups. They know that they will get the loudest commotion if they pick someone from a huge group. Also, have nothing scheduled the day of the show because we were there until 7 at night. It was so much fun being in the audience even though no one in our tiny group got picked. Drew Carey was a terrific host and was talking directly to people in the audience throughout every commercial break. Lots of excitement and lots of fun!

I am currently applying for millions of jobs and internships in hopes I get a bite. Wish me luck! Some good news is that the girls and I found this amazing place in North Hollywood to live. Stay tuned this week during the move-in period! I had my doubts because it just looked very commercial and fake in the previews. But I am a huge Julia Roberts movie and Clive Owen is the definition of eye candy. The movie has lots of twists and turns, but Tony Gilroy does a great job with giving the audience just enough information to keep them understanding. There is also a lot of comic relief throughout the movie which is genius and placed perfectly throughout the suspenseful story line. Tony Gilroy seemed like a very nice guy and answered everyone's questions with a smile on his face. He doesn't have anything in the works right now and he doesn't have any original screen plays in his back pocket, but I'm sure whatever he comes out with next will add to the list of hits he's created. Go see DUPLICITY!

#8 The Maiden Heist

So nothing exciting happened to me today, but I forgot to tell you guys about my trip to CAA. The Creative Arts Agency is the largest agency in Los Angeles. Rob Paris came to speak to my class who is a film producer. He invited the whole class to a private screening at CAA for his new film called The Maiden Heist. The Maiden Heist stars Christopher Walken, Morgan Freeman, and William H. Macy. It's about three men who work security in an art museum. They become very attached to three pieces of artwork that they must steal before the gallery gets moved far away. It doesn't have a release date as of yet. We were invited to the open screening where buyers come watch and decide if it is worth putting money into. Walking into CAA was very intimidating. It was huge and gorgeous. You know it is a power structure just walking on the sidewalk outside of CAA. The movie was great and would be an instant hit. It is a unique story line with the perfect cast of characters. If it doesn't get bought I will be shocked! When we were in our bathing suits a car actually pulled up into the garage and thought it was a dare - also a cab kept driving back and forth. It was quite an adventure. Anyways so the next day we have everything we need and we go stand in line outside the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.
There were lots of camera crews talking to the girls in line - Ross Matthews (the intern) for the Jay Leno Show and EXTRA. We finally get inside and its more waiting. We then soon found out that what they call an "audition" is actually you standing in front of the camera saying your NAME, AGE, and HEIGHT. They then decide if you will go on to round 2 by only judging your appearance and if you are the look they need for the show. What a JOKE! The worse part is that they didn't take the application or the pictures. It was definitely a waste of time. I would never recommend the open call to anyone.

Being rejected models, Mary and I then met up with the crew in Malibu where we all played games and soaked up the sun. I ended up falling asleep for about an hour and it was the best nap ever. The beach is so gorgeous, but the water was freeeeezing! Luckily, the beach turned a disappointing day into an amazing one.

#6 LOST

Wow, so today I got to meet the writers of 4 Christmases, The Hangover (coming out in April), and The Ghost of Girlfriends Past (coming out in a couple months). Their names were Scott Moore and Jon Lucas. They were so amazing to talk to. I actually asked them if they would consider writing my feature idea. Ha! They didn't actually turn me down but they told me to give it to their agent who is coming in tomorrow to talk to the class. So I'm going to try to slip her my treatment. Wish me luck!

So then we went to a Writer's Workshop with the writers of LOST! It was awesome listening to their writing and development process. When they know that they are coming back for another season the first thing they do is called "mini camp" where they all get together and outline what this season is going to look like - how it's going to begin and what is it going to get to for the end. Which I thought was very interesting because there's always been rumors that the writers don't even know what's going on. They actually do have a clue on what they want the audience to get out of each episode and although there is a lot of mythology it is a completely character driven show. Those characters are their babies. They said that one of the themes of the entire show is "father issues" which I never realized before, but the characters actually do have a lot of father problems. Locke gets thrown out of an 8 story building by his dad, Jack's father is dead, Claire never knew her father (Jack's father too), Kate killed her father, Michael didn't have a close relationship with his son Walt, Hurley's dad left him when he was young. So I guess yeah there is a lot of dad issues when you look at it like that! It didn't exactly clear up anything that has been confusing but there will be another season which will be the last. So I will definitely hold out until the end. They haven't LOST me yet!

#5 FORD FIESTA

SO I JUST GOT A CALL BACK FOR THE FORD FIESTA CONTEST I ENTERED!!!! Also sitting in the audience was former winner Kristi Yamaguchi, football star Emmitt Smith, and singer Jewel cheering her hubby on! While I was there I also crossed paths with Doris Roberts who played the mom on Everybody Loves Raymond and also Keeping up with the Kardashians Kris Jenner - the mother! It was a pretty eventful day! I finished the day with going to the Farmers Market.

I entered a contest to become a test driver for the new Ford Fiesta and I need lots of people to view my video to increase my chances of winning! So went to a club/lounge/bar called Bardot. It was a very popular night because Sam Sparro was going to be performing. He's the one that sings that amazing song called Black and Gold. We got there early so we would have no problems getting in even though my roommate, RJ, knew the adorable door guy, John. We ordered some food and the waitresses kept pestering us that we were gonna have to get up from the table before bottle service started. We stayed at Bardot for a couple of hours and saw so many different fashions. We saw lots of tall, gorgeous models. I wish I could have stolen all their amazing outfits. There were a lot of "hipster" looks with crazy hair and big glasses. I love to people watch. Unfortunately, RJ cut his finger earlier in the day and it would not stop bleeding. We had to leave early before Sam Sparro could come on. We could barely get out of Bardot cause there were so many people trying to get in. Oh well, I'll catch Sam next time :)<div invited me to a shoot. It turned out to be a Dannon Activia commercial with Jamie Lee Curtis. It was at a supermarket in North Hollywood. The second we walked in the door Jamie Lee came right up to us shouting, "YOUNG PEOPLE!" She then began asking us if we were "regular." We had no idea what she was talking about. She was so cheerful and full of spunk. Turns out she was promoting Activia yogurt which helps you poop regularly. Jamie Lee Curtis was talking to me about poop! I felt like I entered the Saturday Night Live spoof. Please watch that if you have not! She continued to talk to me about Step Up and the gorgeous Channing Tatum. AMAZING!!!

http://www.hulu.com/watch/17002/saturday-night-live-activia-yogurt

#1

So I heard this crazy idea that blogging is the new thing to do. I thought I'd give it a try. See if people want to hear the things I have to say.

I am from a small town in Michigan, I went to college in Chicago, and now I have just ventured out to Los Angeles. LA is amazing. I'm finishing school out here at Raleigh Studios which has been the perfect introduction to the city of LA. I've met some of the coolest people in the biz!

Last week we had Zak Penn come speak to us. If anyone doesn't know who Zak Penn is... he wrote the Incredible Hulk movies, Xmen, and Best Action Hero. He is continues to work in the comic book realm. And today we met Josh Friedman who wrote War of the Worlds and is now working on the TV show Terminator: The Sara Conner Chronicles.

LA is really how everyone describes it to be. Everyone is pretty much out for themselves - you can't really trust anyone. Everyone here is trying to "make it." Hell, that's why I'm out here. I'm going into Entertainment Television. There are so many things I could see myself doing. I'm just trying to meet as many people as possible and hope someone will be a connection somewhere down the line. If I've learned anything its that your reputation is everything in this business and if you make a good impression the first time then that can lead to many things. I worked The Ellen DeGeneres Show while she was in Chicago and then got recommended at MTV where I worked for them during Lollapalooza and got to work the Video Music Awards Red Carpet, while in LA for that I got recommended at Deal or No Deal to work a casting call. You never know what can happen!

So yeah that's me and I guess I'm just going to blog about the many random things that happen to me. My life is so random and quite the adventure. Hope you all enjoy!
