#40 Two and a Half Men

So not only does my company produce all the SAW movies, but we are also known for our largest client - Mr. Charlie Sheen. Who is now the highest paid television actor. The owners of our company are his managers and are Executive Producers on the show Two and a Half Men. Now I haven't seen many episodes, but the ones I have seen have made me laugh out loud. This is a brilliantly written show that is just spewing with charisma! I was able to attend a taping of the show on the Warner Bros. lot, where it regularly shoots. It was so much fun being behind the scenes to watch the director and the rest of the crew hard at work. They shot that episode flawlessly and it was a joy to watch the characters come to life right in front of my eyes. After the show was done taping I was able to meet Charlie and hang out on the set. Check out some of the pictures below!

#39 Lottery Ticket

Last Thursday I was invited to the LOTTERY TICKET premiere at the Chinese Theater! My company co-produced this movie and we're hoping for a hit! This movie was a lot of fun and full of laughs! It has a huge cast of name actors, which makes it surprising to see who pops up where! Our client Abdul Williams penned the script and our client Erik White directed it. You could tell they were a great team by the chemistry on the screen. GO SEE IT!!!

After the premiere we went to the after-party at Drai's on the rooftop of the W Hotel. They could not have picked a more VIP location! Drai's is such a hot spot with the stunning view of LA and rooftop pool and bar. It was catered with gourmet food - I personally devoured the filet mignon! Open bar made for a more interesting evening. It was great being a part of the company that made this movie possible. I was able to hang with some of the stars of the movie: Bow Wow, Brandon T. Jackson, Leslie Jones, and more!

All in all it was a fabulous night and it just gets me even more excited for when SAW comes out in October!

#38 TMZ

Little Spoon Productions just entered a TMZ contest! They are looking for a new commercial with the tag line, "We love Hollywood, we just have a funny way of showing it!" So Little Spoon created 2 spots with completely different concepts. The first concept is called "A Romance" and it shows the dysfunctional relationship TMZ has with Hollywood. TMZ is always there to witness celebrity breakdowns and they are always the first to show the newest stories/developments in celebrity life. This commercial sheds some light on this relationship. Watch it here...

TMZ: A Romance

The second concept is called "Doggy Style" and this is a quick, funny skit we did to make fun of all the celebrities with purse dogs. It's so easy to bring these dogs everywhere when they fit in your purse! This is a red carpet scene that shows the stubbornness of these dogs when they have to walk on their own! Check it out below!

TMZ: Doggy Style

We had a lot of fun shooting these commercials, and the contest has already been a success. My boss is close with Harvey Levin (the creator of TMZ) and he sent our commercials to him! Unfortunately, Harvey doesn't have a say in the contest. But it's cool to know he watched them anyways!

Wish us luck!

I also wanted to share some pictures from this past weekend! I was a part of my first Murder Mystery Party! My name was Carrie Crooner-Ravioli. I just married "Big Jim" Ravioli, who was the head of the Chicago mob. I was a young jazz singer who was trying to use Big Jim's connections to be a star! Big Jim was the first death and it was devastating! Then everyone assumed that I killed him because I had just married him and received most of his money through the will. But then I was killed by a competing jazz singer! The night was a lot of fun and everyone was all dressed up! Check out the pictures below!

Over the weekend, I also saw The Other Guys and SALT. Both movies were just OK. I thought that The Other Guys was going to be a lot funnier. I think both actors took different/challenging roles that they aren't use to playing - which was fun to watch. But some of the jokes were overplayed. It did not compare to Anchorman. I thought that Salt was good but predictable. I really enjoy seeing Angelina Jolie kick ass. However, it reminded me of the movie Taken, where it seemed unbelievable that one person can take down so many people. Based on my preference of movies, I enjoyed Salt more than The Other Guys.

#37 There's no place like home

Alright, time to play catch up! I have been working like crazy lately, and barely have time to watch my shows! By the way, I started watching Breaking Bad from the beginning and it is a great show! I really recommend it because I can't seem to stop watching. I love shows that keep you on your toes.

So a few weeks ago I went to an event at the Palihouse called The Darker Side of Green sponsored by Lexus. It's this new campaign that involves a comedian being a moderator of a green inspired debate. This event had Andy Samberg as the moderator. I got the pleasure of meeting him and he was such a nice guy! Other celebrities who showed up were Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, Sophia Bush, Jeremy Piven, and Adrian Brody. Open bar, hor d'oeuvres, and good music always makes for a good time.

For Fourth of July, Hilary and I went back to my home town to see my family! It was a much needed trip, because I miss my family so much. It is so hard being across the country from them. Whenever I go home they always spoil me with delicious meals. We went and played Whirlyball one night with a bunch of my closest friends. If you've never played whirlyball then you're missing out! It's whiffle ball meets bumper cars meets basketball! It's so fun! My mom, Hilary, and I went and walked along the Detroit River. Then during the weekend we had a huge barbeque for family and friends. It was nice because my family from Tennessee was up in MI for the occasion. It was an amazing trip that I will never forget! Each time I go home it gets more and more special. It's true when they say - there's no place like home.

If you haven't seen Inception yet, then get your butt to a theater ASAP! In my eyes, this is going to be the movie of the year! The film is mind-blowing and material that has never before been caught on camera. The idea is unique and absolutely fascinating. It still has people questioning how it was filmed and written. People in the industry cannot stop talking about this film and that is when you know you've made a ground-breaking film. The cast is phenomenal and every word keeps you on the edge of your seat. Everyone leaves the theater with their own take on the film and their own idea of what happened at the end. As the audience you feel like you're in the dream with them! I can go on and on about this story... but just go see it!

I am still loving my job at Evolution. I am learning so much and really beginning to understand how films/tv shows get made. You can't get anywhere without the help of an amazing manager. It feels so good to be a part of the process! Oh and just a side note... when I went to go pick up lunch the other day for my boss I talked to Puck and Santana from Glee! I told them how much I loved the show! They thanked me :)

Be looking for another blog real soon for Little Spoon's newest creations! You are in for a treat!!!

This image expresses the feeling of finally finishing a script! So to all the writers out there... this one is for you! Click the picture to see it in full size!

Man, this stuff is too much fun! I just can't get enough!

#35 PEREZ HILTON

So remember in my last blog how I was talking about Little Spoon creating a Justin Bieber "Baby" parody video? Well not only is it done and gaining traction on Youtube, but today it was featured on none other than PEREZHILTON.COM!!! For those of you who are living under a rock and don't know who Perez Hilton is... he pretty much created the largest celebrity gossip blog on the planet. Check it out!...

You can watch it there or you can go to the direct link here on our Youtube page Bieber on Youtube. The point of this video was to spread light on all the lesbians out there who look like Justin Bieber. If you watch the original Justin Bieber "Baby" video then you will notice all of the work we put in to making it similar yet different! I could not be more excited that Perez Hilton featured us and thinks our video deserves recognition. I think that means we've officially MADE IT in the biz!

Speaking of the biz... I have more great news! I was recently promoted at my job! I am now the assistant to the two Heads of the Literary Department at Evolution Entertainment. It has been a roller coaster ride this past month! I had only 3 days of training before being thrown onto this desk, which left me even less time to train the person replacing me. It's crazy how it works out here. You could say that assistants run Hollywood. I am so excited to be a part of the assistant world! Look out Hollywood!

Things have been very exciting! I am now going to go finish watching the NBA Finals... GO LAKERS!

#34 What a NERD!

This weekend was full of fun shoots!

It started off with a photo shoot I did with Scott Regan. He bought this old school typewriter from craigslist and had this vision of how he wanted to photograph it. He asked me if I'd model for him. The theme of the shoot would best be described as "Writer's Block!" I dressed up as a nerd and had to show the hardship of being a writer. Lets just say that lots of pieces of paper were harmed during the making of this photo shoot! Scott is a brilliant photographer and you can check out his work here Scott Regan Photo. His partner in crime, Dave Huzieran from Blue Satellite Productions, was busy shooting the behind the scenes. The photos aren't ready to be shown yet, but you can check out the funny behind the scenes video here! Modeling is way more fun when you can play a character!

This weekend we also accomplished another Little Spoon creation! This one wasn't for a contest, but just an idea that we wanted to shoot. It's a music video parody of Justin Bieber's song "Baby." It came to us when we noticed that Justin Bieber could easily be Hilary's doppleganger. So the video is about Hilary who finally finds the girl of her dreams; however, the dream girl is only interested cause she thinks that Hilary is Justin Bieber. We rewrote the lyrics and rerecorded the song. The actual music video was shot in a bowling alley, so we put a different spin on it and just hosted a party with Wii bowling! We had a lot of help on this shoot - thanks to our amazing friends. Now all thats left to do is edit it all together! I'll be posting that as soon as it's finished, so stay tuned! Hopefully, it will be the next YouTube sensation!
