#11 Easter

So all week we've been looking at apartments, houses, dumpsters, and anywhere else we can seek shelter in.  We have to be moved out of this apartment by this week and we still can't find a place to live.  It seems that LA is a lot more strict in leasing their apartments and are not student friendly.  We can't find a job without living here and we can't live here unless we have a job.  Definitely a catch 22 and it is not fun.  We found another really nice place that we are trying to stay in and we should know by tomorrow if we can sign the lease.  If we don't sign a lease by wednesday we might be living on the streets.

Friday I went and tried out for a new game show called 20Q, which is based on the 20Q ball that can always guess what you are thinking by asking you 20 questions.  I made it to round 2 and got to play a mock game of what the show will be like.  I don't know if I did good enough to make it on the show, but I was 1 of 2 girls that made it to the second round.  Keep a look out for the show on Game Show Network!

Saturday we had a classic "Girls Night In" where we sipped on Arbor Mist and watched chick flicks:  The Devil Wears Prada, The House Bunny, and Bring It On.  It was perfection.

Sunday was my first Easter away from home.  I was very sad in the beginning of the day because I missed my family and wished I was celebrating it with them.  Easter has always been my favorite holiday.  However, my LA family decided we would have our own dinner party.  We had an Easter feast: ham, cheesy potatoes, deviled eggs, corn, biscuits, salad, and dessert.  I made my best friend Katie's signature Dump Cake which is pretty much a pineapple upside-down cake, but it is AMAZING!  Even if you don't like pineapple or cherries, you would love this cake!  It got amazing reviews on Sunday as well.  My friend Dan went out of his way to put on an Easter egg hunt for us.  All the eggs were filled with lottery scratch off tickets!  It was so sweet of him.  Then we finished the day by going on a canyon walk and enjoying the amazing view of LA.  I'm so grateful for my friends out here.  It was another Happy Easter!

  3. Hi Hon, we missed you so much on Sunday :(
We have been spending Easter down south with friends for so long that it was really weird actually being home - I think that it has been 7 years or so now- YIKES, time flies. It was nice of Katie and Sam to stop by- It helped and I felt a little closer to you!
